Villa Testasecca

Built in the second half of the nineteenth century by Count Ignazio Testasecca, wealthy mining entrepreneur, the villa is unique, for grandeur and charm, in the province of Caltanissetta.
The site plan and distribution of the interior are modeled on the typical pattern of the residences of the Sicilian aristocracy of the eighteenth century.
The villa develops on three floors, and has approximately a square plan.
The main entrance is on the north side, while on the south side opens a wide and impressive staircase leading to the lower terraces of the garden. The latter surrounds the villa on all 4 sides, surrounding it with verdant vegetation and rich artistic paths.
The external walls are characterized by the contrast between the Pompeian red plaster of the flat surfaces and the pilasters of giant order white. On the entrance door, flanked by free-standing columns, rests the balcony of the great hall.
All the interiors of the villa have been restored with care and respecting the original architecture, and furnished with taste and mastery.

Testasecca Villa was built in the second half of the nineteenth century, along the road which connects San Cataldo with Caltanissetta. To Commission the building of the Villa was the Commendatore Ignazio Testasecca a rich mining entrepreneur, later named Count by the King of Italy for his merits in philanthropy, having he funded and commissioned the Home for the Poor in the city of Caltanissetta.
Villa Testasecca was alienated by the heirs of Count Testasecca in 1972, and has since been owned by the Benza family that, with dedication and passion, has taken care of the renovation of the house and its furnishings over the years.

The large and lush outdoor spaces and beautiful interiors are well suited to the organization of photo shoots and films, conventions and meetings, corporate events, both private and cultural.
The villa also has n. 5 bedrooms, for a total of n.10 beds, and n. 5 bathrooms (two in the rooms) that allow the use of the villa, for both short and long holidays, in a relaxing atmosphere full of art and culture.
