The Cottage Troubetskoy is a minor Venetian villa of the eighteenth century, built along the Zero river to allow its guests to reach Venice by water. In the sixties of the twentieth century, the channel has moved about 200 meters, thus expanding the park.
At the end of the nineteenth century the villa was bought by the Russian princely family of Troubetskoy as the residence of two Troubetskoy girls, actually illegitimate daughters of the Tsar and so exiled in Italy.
One of the girls married the Duke of Morny, becoming one of the main and most beautiful noblewomen of the Parisian Belle Epoque, while the other sister married a French count Russian.
The next generation, also composed of two sisters, one of them a close friend of Francesco Baracca who spent the last night in the villa before being shot down, not only had no descendants but slowly alienated land surrounding the property. In the fifties of the twentieth century, Count Alberto del Bono, whose family had since the beginning of the century friendship, helped Eleonor Countess Ennes who, at his death, I leave the villa at the Bono family.
