The Villa of Belpoggio was built in 17th century by the Fiorilli family, on top of the remains of a 14th century watch-tower.
This period house is a classic example of a country summer residence designed for the Florentine aristocracy.

A small oratory was constructed next to the Villa at the end od 1700, while a lower building and the granary, added to the sacristy, dates back to 19th century.

In 1820 the mansion and its lands where vineyards and olive trees were grown, were soldo by the Fiorilli to the Rosi family.

In 1935 the “Serviti” frairs of Floence, inherited the Villa which became a friary and remained a place of spiritual retreat up to the late eighties.

Because of the historical and artistic value of the Villa, in 1900 the Ministry of the Cultural Heritage and Fine Arts,
designated the estate as one of its official period properties.

The current owners have restored the Villa of Belpoggio with loving care n order to revive the past beauty of this
elegant country residence and her essence as a quiet spiritual refuge.
Their desire is to have a place where a limited number of guests can enjoy peace, nature and a warm Tuscan hospitality.
